Venture Free Children's Center

"Venture Free Children's Center" (VFCC) at Kings Mountain Elementary School is a fee-based after-school program available Monday through Friday on school days until 6:00pm for students in grades TK - 5, with scholarships available. Run by a Kings Mountain Elementary School alum and focused on earth stewardship and outdoor play, this nonprofit program emphasizes student choice and social-emotional well-being, with crafts, games, and activities to choose from each day. VFCC's mission is to "empower young people of all backgrounds to foster a connection with the natural world and environment that promotes healthy physical and mental development, leadership, and a lifelong appreciation for nature and adventure." Students may also receive structured, academic-based support as needed.
